Key DHS cyber hub seeks CTO

The Department of Homeland Security is looking for a CTO in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Cybersecurity and Communications, which is part of DHS' National Protection and Programs Directorate in Arlington, Va.
According to the notice on USAJobs, the position pays $124,406 to $187,000 per year. Applications were due by Aug. 25.
The CTO contributes to the strategic direction of the organization by identifying specific technologies that help or impact CS&C's mission.
The position also oversees technology integration across CS&C components, develops strategies to use technology and sets up technology governance rules. The CTO provides technical expertise to broadband communication programs including priority services programs, ensures modeling and analysis capability development supports cybersecurity, information infrastructure and emergency communications mission requirements, identifies emerging technologies for communications interoperability, tracks identification and mitigation of electromagnet pulse and related vulnerabilities,
Additionally, the CTO leads communications and cyber research and development coordination activities, as well as develops a roadmap for CS&C information architecture and technology.
